The Mount Coronavirus Guidelines
From 30th November 2021, it is mandatory for you to wear face coverings throughout your visit to The Mount, unless you are medically exempt. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team remains our priority.
MAKING APPOINTMENTS
You can book appointments in person, over the telephone or online as you prefer. We will take your full name and contact telephone number as usual.
WELCOME
Our coat cupboard is available but we may ask you to hang up your own coats to reduce contact.
MASKS
It is mandatory for you to wear a face covering unless you have a medical exemption. Our team will all be wearing face masks.
YOUR VISIT
We will continue to use all of the space available in our large, well ventilated building.
We will only be offering refreshments to guests who are in the salon for longer visits e.g. when your colour is processing and your stylist is not with you. You are welcome to bring your own with you if you prefer.
We will not be reintroducing magazines just yet. You are welcome to bring reading of your own or relax as you prefer.
We continue to follow strict cleaning procedures. Throughout your visit, you will see regular disinfecting of all frequently touched objects and surfaces such as door handles.
You may see more windows open than usual to increase ventilation levels in the salon.
SKIN TESTS
We are strictly following our manufacturers colour guidelines. This may mean increased skin testing and filling in a technical consultation form before your appointment. Our reception team will book appointments for skin tests.
BEAUTY
We are offering all beauty treatments with the exception of treatments that require prolonged contact in the eye area such as eyelash extensions or perming, and threading services although we hope to resume these treatments very soon.
TOILETS
Our toilets will be in use and frequently cleaned.
Hand washing facilities include soap and disposable towels.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Team training has been implemented, with all members aware of Coronavirus guidelines and having completed their Barbicide Covid-19 Certification.
We have completed a full covid-19 risk assessment.
We are following all government advice regarding lateral flow testing and self-isolating.
THE END OF YOUR VISIT
You will be escorted to reception, or you may be asked to wait and the receptionist will come to you at your station. We are keeping our payment pods throughout the salon to prevent queues in this area.
You are welcome to pay by cash or card, with the contactless limit currently £100. We will continue to regularly disinfect this area.
We are happy to email your receipts/ your next appointment if you prefer not to take a card.
