Congratulations! You are engaged to be married and busy making decisions about the finer details of your big day, including choosing the right stylist to look after your bridal party.
At The Mount, we have an experienced wedding team who work closely with many venues in the local area. No two brides have exactly the same requirements so we book all weddings on a totally individual basis, matching you with a lead stylist who will listen and guide you through your bridal hair process.
Here are a few factors to reflect on which will help you get the very best results for you:
The size of your wedding party
This is an important consideration to think about when you are making plans. Some wedding parties include bridesmaids, flower girls, mother of the bride and friends or it may just be the bride herself. We have a large team which means we have the capacity to suit your numbers and the timings of your big day.
Choosing your style
The best style for you will be the one that makes you feel amazing and reflects your personality. It should suit your hair and face shape, compliment your outfit and work with the overall tone of the wedding. Some brides prefer a more formal hair up style, whilst others opt for a relaxed, festival feel. Our stylists recommend that you find pictures of styling ideas that you like, as this is a great starting point for them to work with you. You can also see some examples of our work on our social media pages. Trials are a good way to see how your hair would look on the big day, allowing you to make tweaks as needed and to check that you feel comfortable. We find these work well 4-6 weeks before the wedding. If you have any accessories such as tiaras or head bands then please feel free to bring these with you.
Your budget
Our team charge for all weddings on a time basis, from when they leave the salon to their return following the completion of your services. Their hourly rate charges depending on the experience of the stylist which gives you flexibility to match your bespoke requirements to your budget. With larger weddings we often find a mixed experience team works well, but we are happy to go through the different pricing options with you before sending you a quotation.
Where to get ready?
We are happy to travel to your chosen location, whether you prefer to get ready at the same venue as the wedding ceremony or in the comfort of your own home. We bring all our styling equipment, and we have full insurance which we are happy to provide to venues as required. Alternatively, you may choose to come to The Mount with your party and have your hair styled within the beautiful surroundings of our salon. There is no right choice, just the best match for you.
Working with other professionals
We are used to working alongside other professionals such as make up artists, photographers and wedding coordinators. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
